2.50 mm Max — the lowest-profile Ethernet transformer in this catalogue.
The WHS16105G body is 12.70 × 7.10 mm, 9.50 mm across the leads, on 1.27 mm pitch with an 8.89 mm span and a 0.64 mm foot. The standard-height parts in the same family stand 5.65 mm ±0.50 mm — more than twice as tall in the worst case. Where clearance is held under 3 mm this grade is often the only part that will fit; other profiles are listed in the10/100 BASE-T range.
Body, height, pitch and span are identical; the number of terminations and the internal element order differ — the WHS16105G has twelve terminations with the common-mode choke on the chip side, while the16-pin parthas sixteen with the choke on the cable side.
The two land patterns are not interchangeable: the termination count differs and so do the positions in between. Start from whether the board already carries a 12- or 16-termination footprint, then confirm the choke position against the PHY reference design — checking only one of the two is not enough.
Indoor 100M port equipment with limited vertical clearance, where the component temperature stays between 0 °C and +70 °C.
The WHS16105G is 2.50 mm Max high on a 12.70 × 7.10 mm body, surface-mount and reflow-assembled. Typical uses are slim set-top boxes, embedded industrial modules, and the middle layer of stacked board assemblies. It carries no PoE. Where equipment must power up below 0 °C, this group has no wide-temperature grade — moving to astandard-height wide-temperature parttakes the profile from 2.50 mm to 5.65 mm.
