No. The WHSQ24301G and theWHSQ24302Gmatch value for value on body size, maximum height, pitch, lead span and recommended pad layout, but their pin-to-net assignments differ, so swapping one for the other means changing the schematic and the netlist. On the WHSQ24301G the centre taps land on pins 3, 4, 9, 10 and 15, 16, 21, 22, under the net names TXCT and TDCT. On the other part they land on pins 1, 4, 7, 10 and 24, 21, 18, 15, under the names TCT and MCT.
Pads lining up does not mean the nets line up: these two are a worked example of a shared footprint that is not a drop-in replacement, and swapping them directly would connect differential pins to centre taps.
The WHSQ24301G suits indoor single-port 2.5G/5G equipment that is height-constrained and where the component temperature stays between 0 °C and +70 °C.The WHSQ24301G is a 24-pin single-port SMD 2.5G/5G BASE-T transformer in a low-profile package, without PoE: there is no current item among its eleven electrical entries, so the port is powered by the equipment itself. Typical uses are slim switches and optical network terminals, set-top and media playback devices, and network ports on plug-in cards where the slot pitch limits component height.
Where the port has to deliver power, or the component temperature falls outside that band, send VOOHU the current and temperature requirements rather than substituting a non-PoE part. Other options are listed in the2.5G/5G BASE-T range.
The schematic of the WHSQ24301G carries no Chip Side or Cable Side labels, so the wiring has to be resolved from pin numbers, and the TX and TD prefixes must not be read as telling you which side faces the RJ45.Prefix conventions are not consistent from part to part across this product line, and parts already exist that draw the same prefix on the opposite side, which makes inferring the side from the prefix the most common wiring error on these components.
What is certain is that the 24 pins of the WHSQ24301G form two rows of four groups of three, each group being a differential pair plus its centre tap. Ask VOOHU for a drawing carrying the side labels before releasing the layout.
