WHSQ24302G 2.5G/5GBASE-T LAN Transformer

The WHSQ24302G stands 2.50 mm tall at most, over a 16.60 mm × 9.00 mm body, which makes it one of the low-profile packages in the single-port 2.5G/5G range. The conventional 24-pin package at the same data rate is 6.00 mm tall, more than double, so where a lid clearance is fixed, or the part has to sit between a daughter card and a backplane, a low-profile part is often the only one that fits.

The trade-off is a standoff of only 0.05 mm typical, so the WHSQ24302G sits almost flat against the board, leaving little room for post-reflow cleaning and little viewing angle for inspection.
