Same land pattern and same electrical ratings, two things differ: where the common-mode choke sits, and the storage range. The WHDG72K06G puts the choke on the pin 1–18 and 19–36 side and is rated -40 °C to +85 °C storage; theWHDG72K01Gputs it on the other side and is rated -20 °C to +125 °C.
Both share an operating range of 0 °C to +70 °C. The parts will physically interchange on a finished board, but the element order has changed and EMC has to be re-measured.
Indoor four-port Gigabit equipment where the component temperature stays between 0 °C and +70 °C and the PCB can give a 34.50 × 19.00 mm square area with at least 13.50 mm of clearance above it.
The WHDG72K06G has no PoE capability, so all four ports are powered locally. Equipment powering up below 0 °C needs the wide-temperature grade, and a board that can only offer a long narrow strip cannot take this part. Both outlines are listed in the100/1000 BASE-T range.
Filter on operating temperature first, then on which side the common-mode choke sits.
All three share one block land pattern: where -40 °C to +85 °C is required, theWHDG72K01TGis the only choice; where 0 °C to +70 °C suffices, take the WHDG72K06G for a choke on the pin 1–18 and 19–36 side, or the WHDG72K01G for the other side. The electrical ratings are common to all three and play no part; storage range only needs a separate look when long-term stock or transport conditions are demanding.
