Note:

  1. Bourns' return loss needs to be evaluated in its recommended circuit (BS6305 impedance Class A non-speech or Class B speech); VOOHU's reference impedance is 600 Ω. When making selection, first align the actual test circuit with the reference conditions.
  2. The withstand voltage test conditions on both sides are different: Bourns is 2000 VRMS, 1 min; VOOHU is 4600 VAC, 1 mA, 60 sec between P-S. Don't judge the insulation capability just by looking at the voltage value, let alone directly draw alternative conclusions based on it.
  3. Bourns also lists information such as operating/storage temperature, balance, distortion, power level, terminal plating and packaging; VOOHU does not have directly corresponding data, so it is not included in the table.

Can WHTT6010 directly replace SM-LP-5001?

Don’t just look at the similar values ​​in the table. The electrical indicators on both sides are comparable, but the package size, pins/pads, return loss test circuit, withstand voltage conditions and actual circuits must be confirmed one by one; at least PCB package comparison and sample testing must be completed before making a replacement decision.

What electrical indicators do both parties have that can correspond one to one?

The two sides that can be directly matched are the turns ratio, 115 Ω ±15% DC resistance on both sides, 3.8 H minimum shunt inductance, 7500 Ω minimum shunt resistance, 6 mH typical leakage inductance, 2 kHz insertion loss, return loss, frequency response and insulation resistance. The actual test conditions are subject to the conditions listed in the table.

Why can't we just look at the withstand voltage value to judge the insulation capability?

The withstand voltage test conditions on both sides are different: Bourns is 2000 VRMS, 1 minute; VOOHU is 4600 VAC, 1 mA, 60 seconds between the primary and secondary sides. The voltage form, current limit and test objects are different, and they still need to be confirmed according to the target safety regulations and application test requirements.
