The Bourns SM-LP-5001 is a 600 Ω, 1:1 surface mount audio transformer commonly used in low frequency signal interfaces in modems, laptops, telecommunications and instrumentation. Its frequency band of concern is 200 Hz–4 kHz. Insertion loss, return loss and frequency response should be viewed together with line impedance and peripheral networks. The windings on both sides of this model are symmetrical, and Bourns does not distinguish between the primary and secondary windings in the actual sense.
The VOOHU WHTT6010 is a 6-pin audio transformer with a terminal pitch of 2.54 mm. When making early selection, first look at the 1±1% turns ratio, 115 Ω ±15% DC resistance on both sides, and the inductance, insertion loss, return loss and frequency response test conditions from 200 Hz to 4 kHz. These conditions are comparable to the application range of SM-LP-5001, and are suitable for comparison in the same round of selection; whether it can be replaced depends on the PCB pad, withstand voltage requirements, test circuit and sample test results.

Note:
Can WHTT6010 directly replace SM-LP-5001?
Don’t just look at the similar values in the table. The electrical indicators on both sides are comparable, but the package size, pins/pads, return loss test circuit, withstand voltage conditions and actual circuits must be confirmed one by one; at least PCB package comparison and sample testing must be completed before making a replacement decision.
What electrical indicators do both parties have that can correspond one to one?
The two sides that can be directly matched are the turns ratio, 115 Ω ±15% DC resistance on both sides, 3.8 H minimum shunt inductance, 7500 Ω minimum shunt resistance, 6 mH typical leakage inductance, 2 kHz insertion loss, return loss, frequency response and insulation resistance. The actual test conditions are subject to the conditions listed in the table.
Why can't we just look at the withstand voltage value to judge the insulation capability?
The withstand voltage test conditions on both sides are different: Bourns is 2000 VRMS, 1 minute; VOOHU is 4600 VAC, 1 mA, 60 seconds between the primary and secondary sides. The voltage form, current limit and test objects are different, and they still need to be confirmed according to the target safety regulations and application test requirements.
What should we focus on checking the package size?
Bourns profile is 12.8 mm × 9.0 mm, 7.5 mm seat height; VOOHU is 13.5 mm max. × 9.5 mm max., 7.8 mm max. Although the terminal pitch is all 2.54 mm, the PCB pads, pin locations, surrounding prohibited areas and overall machine height space still have to be compared.
