Mechanically yes, in orientation no. On the WHDG96504PTG pins 1–48 are the chip side, matching the WHDG96502PTG; on theWHDG96503PTGpins 1–48 are the cable side.
All three PTG parts share one 96-pin land pattern and one pin-numbering scheme, and only the side labelling splits into two camps. Before changing from one to another, check the chip-side and cable-side labels on each drawing rather than inferring from pin numbers.
Not as an 802.3bt part. The WHDG96504PTG datasheet states IEEE 802.3at compliant performance with 720 mA current capability.
Type 3 and Type 4 under 802.3bt draw more current than the 802.3at class, and the figure cannot be extrapolated upward. A port running 802.3bt needs a device rated for that class; tell us the per-port current you are targeting and VOOHU will confirm the applicable scope against the current controlled document. Higher-current parts are listed in the100/1000 BASE-T range.
Four-port Gigabit PoE+ equipment where the component temperature can reach -40 °C or +85 °C.
The WHDG96504PTG needs roughly a 28 × 29 mm square area on the PCB with more than 14.50 mm of clearance above it, and is a through-hole part assembled by wave soldering. All four ports have the same structure, four channels each, with cross talk between them held to -30 dB Min across 1–100 MHz. Other port counts sit in the100/1000 BASE-T range.
