Per channel. The WHSG50001TG datasheet states it directly: "PoE Support 15W: Each channel support 350mA DC balance current".
The 15 W figure corresponds to the PSE port output ceiling of the IEEE 802.3af class. Budget port power on the basis that each channel's centre tap carries 350 mA, and do not multiply the figure by the number of windings. Most parts in the100/1000 BASE-T rangestate a current without naming its scope, so read each datasheet on its own.
Pins 1–25 carry TCT1–TCT8 and TD1±–TD8±; pins 26–50 carry MCT1–MCT8 and MX1±–MX8±; pins 13 and 38 are not connected.
Inside, the WHSG50001TG holds eight 1CT:1CT units — four channels to each of two Gigabit ports — with the common-mode choke on the pin 26–50 side. Centre-tap prefixes differ between families across the100/1000 BASE-T range, so check against this part's own drawing when drawing the footprint.
Same land pattern, different pin assignment — they are not drop-in for one another. On the WHSG50001TG pin 1 is TD1+ and pin 2 the centre tap TCT1; on theWHSG50009Git is the other way round, pin 1 TCT1 and pin 2 TD1+.
The swap runs through all eight channels. Body, land pattern and electrical ratings do match and either part will sit on the same footprint, but the routing has to be redrawn — fitting one in place of the other lands a differential line on a centre tap. The WHSG50001TG also carries PoE at 350 mA per channel and is rated -40 °C to +85 °C.
