The WHSQ24015T0 suits industrial 2.5G and 5GBASE-T links where the component temperature may fall anywhere between -40 °C and +85 °C and the port draws no power through the magnetics.Typical uses are multi-gigabit data ports on industrial switches, uplinks inside outdoor enclosures and wide-temperature edge equipment.
The WHSQ24015T0 is a single-port, 24-pin SMD transformer whose datasheet gives the centre taps no DC balance current rating, so the part does not support PoE. Where the port must deliver power, move to a part in the2.5G/5G BASE-T rangethat publishes a per-channel current.
The WHSQ24015T0 is an MSL level 1 part with a published reflow profile: peak 250 °C ±3 °C, with 60 to 150 seconds spent above the 217 °C liquidus.Ramp-up is limited to 3 °C per second and ramp-down to 6 °C per second, and the soak sits between 150 °C and 200 °C for 60 to 180 seconds.
Total time from 25 °C to peak must not exceed eight minutes. Level 1 also means a floor life of half a year at or below 30 °C and 60% relative humidity, so the WHSQ24015T0 needs no pre-bake under normal storage.
Decide by whether the port feeds power through the centre taps: the WHSQ24015-1PG does, the WHSQ24015T0 does not. Both cover -40 °C to +85 °C, share the package, the suggested pad layout and every high-frequency limit, and both quote 150 µH min open-circuit inductance.
The one decisive difference is current: theWHSQ24015-1PGprints PoE Support 30W and 720 mA of DC balance current per magnetic channel, while the electrical block of the WHSQ24015T0 carries no current item. The same layout therefore serves both, but they are not interchangeable on a powered port.
