The WHSG24015G body is 4.00 mm ±0.50 mm high, among the lowest-profile Gigabit transformers in this catalogue.
TheWHSG24R05N0on the same land pattern stands 8.25 mm ±0.50 mm — both share a 15.10 × 7.10 mm plan, 1.00 mm pitch and 11.00 mm span, so the pads carry over and height is the one thing that differs, by a factor of two. Where internal clearance is tight, or an air duct has to pass above the transformer, this belongs in the first round of selection.
The datasheet carries no PoE current item, so the WHSG24015G should not be selected as a PoE part and its port has to be powered locally.
The centre taps serve as AC termination and common-mode reference only. Where power over the cable is needed, move at selection time to a part that states a current capability — preferably one that also names the scope, since several parts in the100/1000 BASE-T rangeprint both the per-channel and the full-channel figures.
Pins 1–12 are the chip side, named TCT and TD1±–TD4±; pins 13–24 are the cable side, named MCT1–MCT4 and MX1±–MX4±.
Inside, the WHSG24015G holds four 1CT:1CT units — the four channels, or two pairsets, of one Gigabit port. Orient pins 1–12 toward the PHY and 13–24 toward the RJ45 and all four pairs run straight through. Centre-tap prefixes follow several conventions across the100/1000 BASE-T range, so take them from this part's own drawing.
