WHSG24R05N0 Gigabit LAN Transformer

The land pattern carries over and the electrical ratings match; height differs by a factor of two. The WHSG24R05N0 stands 8.25 mm ±0.50 mm against 4.00 mm ±0.50 mm for the WHSG24015G, while both share a 15.10 × 7.10 mm plan, 1.00 mm pitch, 11.00 mm span and 0.10 mm coplanarity.

A change therefore needs no pad work, only a re-check of chassis clearance and of whatever routing or airflow passes above the part. Neither carries PoE.

The same value in two notations.

The WHSG24R05N0 datasheet reads DCR: 1.4Ω Max where most parts in the 100/1000 BASE-T range read 1400mΩ Max; the two are exactly equivalent. Normalise to one unit when building a comparison table or entering data into an ERP, and do not read the difference in notation as a difference in grade.

The datasheet carries no PoE current item, so the WHSG24R05N0 should not be selected as a PoE part and its port has to be powered locally.

Its drawing labels pin numbers only, without net names or Chip Side / Cable Side markings, so termination and grounding follow the target PHY's reference design.
