Note:

  1. The withstand voltage conditions are not exactly the same: TDK gives 50 Hz, 2 s; VOOHU only gives 1500 V AC. Insulation verification should be retested according to the frequency, duration and judgment standards specified by the project.
  2. TDK's 40 A corresponds to a temperature rise of approximately +40°C on the primary side; VOOHU's 40 A is given at the maximum current rating, and the corresponding temperature rise conditions are not listed. Therefore, the two cannot be directly equated to the same thermal margin.
  3. The primary side on both sides is 11-12, and the secondary side is 2-4, but the recommended PCB pad outlines are marked differently, and the maximum height is also 10.00 mm and 10.50 mm. Can these two material numbers be directly replaced without changing the board?

A direct substitution judgment cannot be made based on this. Although the winding terminal identification and many electrical values ​​are close, the maximum height is different from the recommended PCB pad outline; CAD overlay, pad and pin coordinate verification, sample reflow and load testing must be completed.

If the inductance, turns ratio and DCR are close, does that mean the thermal performance is also the same?

Doesn't mean. TDK associates 40 A with a temperature rise of about +40°C, VOOHU gives a maximum current rating for 40 A but does not list corresponding temperature rise conditions. The actual design should test the thermal margin according to the ambient temperature, primary side waveform and load resistance.

The withstand voltage is written as 1500 V AC, what else should we look at during verification?

In addition to the withstand voltage value, the frequency, duration and judgment criteria must be unified. The conditions of TDK are 50 Hz, 2 s; the insulation test should be re-completed according to project requirements before importing into VOOHU.
