QSFP connector and QSFP+ cage options
A QSFP connector and its cage form the host side of a quad small form-factor pluggable port, here in QSFP and QSFP+ versions listed for 40G. They also appear as QSFP+ connectors, QSFP+ cages, transceiver cages or 40G QSFP+ cage assemblies. The range covers press-fit 1 x 1 cages, 2 x 1 cage assemblies with light pipes and a 1 x 1 PCB connector with 15U gold. Stacked 2 x 1 with light pipes
WHSFP28221F008 and WHSFP28221F013 are 2 x 1 cage-and-connector assemblies: two QSFP+ ports stacked in one press-fit part, with light pipes and the connectors already fitted. Each has a published datasheet to check against your panel.
PCB connector with 15U gold
WHSFP20311D005 is a 1 x 1 QSFP+ PCB connector with 15U gold on the contacts. Take its mounting method and land pattern from the datasheet; a 3D model is also available for the enclosure check.
Mounting and cooling
The press-fit cages and assemblies here cool through heat dissipation holes, not a heat sink. Check module power and airflow early, and ask our FAE team to review options if a heat sink is needed.

QSFP+ ports carry 40G links in switches, servers and test equipment.
40G uplinks on switches
Aggregation and campus switches use QSFP+ ports as 40G uplinks. A stacked 2 x 1 assembly such as WHSFP28221F013 fits two uplinks in one port width, with light pipes for link status.
Server and storage links
Adapter cards and storage shelves use single 40G QSFP+ ports. The press-fit 1 x 1 cages WH491U019D0S00 and WH491U029D0S00 fit there; choose the PCB connector separately and confirm the pairing in the drawings.
Test gear and legacy platforms

Can a QSFP cage be assumed to accept an SFP module?
No. They are different interface families. Any system conversion arrangement requires a separate review of the complete adapter design.
How should I use a QSFP/QSFP+ catalog rate?
Use it to identify candidates, then verify module, connector and host requirements. A catalog label is not a system-speed guarantee.
What should I check for a press-fit QSFP cage?
Review hole size, PCB thickness, press support, panel position and module clearance against the drawing and assembly specification.
Can I select a QSFP heat sink from its photograph?
A photograph cannot establish height, thermal contact, retention or supplied content. Use the part drawing and assembly documentation.
How is a QSFP assembly replacement assessed?
Provide existing assembly drawings, module requirements and PCB/panel constraints. Review the electrical interface, cage mounting and thermal design before sample validation.
Is VOOHU a QSFP connector manufacturer?

Should I use a 1 x 1 QSFP cage or the 2 x 1 assembly?
Use WH491U019D0S00 or WH491U029D0S00 when the board needs a single port and you place the PCB connector yourself. The 2 x 1 cage assemblies WHSFP28221F008 and WHSFP28221F013 stack two ports with light pipes and connectors fitted, which saves panel width.
What changes when moving from QSFP+ to QSFP28?
Parts here are listed for 40G, and those on our QSFP28 connector and cage page for 100G, where heat sink and 1 x 4 ganged cages are also offered. Treat the move as a new design: compare drawings, footprint and cooling.
