Series overview
An SFP connector and cage form the host side of a pluggable SFP port: the connector sits on the board, and the cage guides, latches and shields the module. Other names include SFP receptacle and transceiver cage. Parts run from 1 x 1 cages to stacked 2 x 8 assemblies, press-fit or solder, listed for up to 5 Gb/s. For faster ports, see SFP+ connectors and cages (10G) or SFP28 cages and assemblies (25G).
Stacked 2 x N parts here are cage-and-connector assemblies with the host connectors fitted. Single-row 1 x N parts are cages placed over board-mounted connectors; WHSFP151Y00081 is an SFP connector for that approach; confirm the pairing in both drawings.
Single-row cages go up to 1 x 6, as in WHSFP01516W002. Stacked assemblies go up to 2 x 8, as in WHSFP06128F005, fitting twice the ports into the same panel width.
Most parts are press-fit; check plated-hole size and board thickness in the drawing. Solder cages such as WH81111000061 (1 x 1) and WH194TS19D0S02 (1 x 4) suit lines that solder the cage.
Light pipes bring LED light to the bezel; the drawing defines the arrangement behind each selector symbol. WH194T469D1S02 is a 1 x 4 cage with light pipes; for cooling, WHSFP00111W050 is a 1 x 1 cage with a heat sink.
Applications
SFP ports serve swappable fiber or copper links up to 5 Gb/s.
Fiber switch panels use stacked SFP cage assemblies: a 2 x 8 part such as WHSFP06228F016 fills a port row in one piece. Smaller models use 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 assemblies.
Compact industrial devices often need one or two fiber ports. Single-port cages such as WH191R02SD0S02 (press-fit) or WHSFP00311W046 (solder) fit there, and WHSFP01014W036 is a 1 x 4 solder cage with a heat sink.
Access units with a few uplinks use single-row cages: WHSFP01114W002 is a 1 x 4 press-fit cage with light pipes, WHG201N4HP0401 a 1 x 4 solder cage. Match light pipe positions to the panel LEDs.

Do not assume so. Distinguish a cage from a cage-and-connector assembly and check the supplied content for the part.
Choose for panel width and height, PCB construction, airflow and mating access. Equal port count can still require different cutouts and holes.
Not by themselves. Validate with module power, airflow and internal equipment temperature.
Provide the receptacle part, its position and PCB/panel drawings. Check module alignment, retention and clearances, not just the cage outline.

Yes. VOOHU manufactures SFP connectors, cages and cage-and-connector assemblies in its own connector factory in Dongguan, China. The same factory builds the SFP+, SFP28 and QSFP families, so one supplier can cover mixed port types.
WHSFP00111W050 (1 x 1, press-fit) and WHSFP01014W036 (1 x 4, solder) are listed with a heat sink; most others are vented. Filter by heat dissipation for current options and check heat sink height against the panel.
Parts on this page are listed for up to 5 Gb/s, and those in our 10G SFP+ range for up to 10 Gb/s. Choose by the module the port must run, then compare drawings; similar outlines can differ in detail.
