Storage / GPU Server Reference Design
An illustrative storage / GPU server reference design for the data center / cloud layer of the five-layer network architecture, built around an in-server DPU network and storage expansion board: 2 × 400G QSFP-DD network ports running RoCE v2 (GPU-to-GPU communication and NVMe-oF storage; InfiniBand models use the same QSFP / OSFP-type cages), 4 × NVMe (MCIO) to local SSDs, an out-of-band BMC management port, a 12V supply, and a DPU core powered by a multiphase VR with combined inductors. Each position is marked with the VOOHU parts available, recommended part numbers and package pinouts.

Illustrative 400G network port topology: the TX / RX differential pairs of the DPU's 8 × 50G PAM4 SerDes (400GAUI-8) pass AC-coupling capacitors (fitted as the SerDes requires; QSFP-DD modules are already AC-coupled internally) to the QSFP-DD board connector, carrying RoCE v2 and NVMe-oF traffic; the module is managed via CMIS, and 3.3V is filtered by a VOOHU 0630 molded inductor, one per port. The 8 differential pairs are drawn as a single line.
