VOOHU Electronics holds ISO 9001:2015 international quality management system certification, ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification, RoHS environmental certification, REACH certification, and CE certification.
On the VOOHU official website, you can quickly select products online through product categories or parameter filters (such as data rate, package type, operating temperature, current, etc.). You can also visit the "Solution" page to view recommended solutions that match your needs. For further support, you can directly contact the technical support team and provide your application scenario — we will accurately recommend the optimal solution for you.
They are mechanically compatible—SFP, SFP+, and SFP28 share the same physical interface dimensions and pin definitions; an SFP+ connector can directly replace an SFP, and an SFP28 can also be inserted into an SFP+ cage. However, their electrical performance differs significantly: SFP supports 1 Gbps, SFP+ supports 10 Gbps, and SFP28 supports 25 Gbps. When upgrading, you must confirm the host's SerDes rate capability, and higher-rate cages have stricter signal-integrity design requirements (PCB routing, impedance matching).
There are mainly two: Press-Fit and Solder Tail. Press-Fit requires no soldering and achieves electrical connection through mechanical press-fitting, suitable for multilayer boards and high-volume production, with strict requirements on PCB hole-diameter tolerance (±0.05 mm). The Solder Tail method is fixed by reflow soldering, suitable for small batches or prototype verification. VOOHU offers SFP cages in both termination methods; single-port cages can be installed using the Flat-Rock process, and for ganged/stacked cages a dedicated press-fit tool is recommended.
Use a process of elimination: first insert a known-compatible module into the same port—if it works, the problem is with the module; if it still does not work, test by switching to another port. If multiple ports have problems, it may be a switch firmware restriction or a cage signal issue. You can also check whether the cage pins are bent or oxidized, and whether cold solder joints have formed between the cage and PCB pads due to stress. Some switches require vendor-coded SFPs, and non-original modules may be actively rejected—this is unrelated to the connector hardware.
This is for the mechanical locking function. The bottom of the protruding part is designed with a latch mechanism that needs to clear the space inside the panel, ensuring the latch has enough travel to complete reliable locking and unlocking actions, thereby guaranteeing the connector's mating experience and connection reliability.
