WHSG48001K1 Gigabit LAN Transformer

Land pattern, pin net names, internal order, temperature grade and all other electrical ratings match; isolation hipot is the one difference, and the two are stated under different conditions: the WHSG48001K1 at 2500 VAC / 1 mA / 2 s, the WHSG48001G at 1500 VAC / 1 mA / 60 s.

The voltage is higher but applied for far less time, so the figures have to be read together with their conditions rather than compared on voltage alone. Pick whichever matches how the system's safety documentation states the requirement.

Peak temperature 250 °C ±3 °C, with 20 to 40 s spent within 5 °C of the peak.

Time above liquidus is counted from 217 °C and runs 60 to 150 s. Ramp up no faster than 3 °C per second and down no faster than 6 °C per second. The WHSG48001K1 is rated MSL level 1, with a floor life of half a year at or below 30 °C / 60% RH — the only part in the 100/1000 BASE-T range section of this batch that publishes a reflow profile.

The WHSG48001K1 is a surface-mount part, 7.50 mm Max high, with 0.10 mm coplanarity across 48 terminations, assembled by reflow and supplied on tape. Where the system only calls for the 1500 VAC / 60 s condition, the standard part on the same land pattern is enough; equipment powering up below 0 °C needs the wide-temperature grade.
