WHSG48002PG What PoE level does 900 mA correspond to?
The specification sheet states that it meets the performance requirements of IEEE 802.3at and has a current capability of 900 mA. 802.3at is PoE+, and the PSE port output limit is 30 W. It is worth noting that most of the models in this product line that comply with 802.3at are marked with 720 mA, and the WHSG48002PG is marked with 900 mA, which is the model with the highest current rating in this range. When making a port power supply budget, tell us the target current per port, and VOOHU will confirm the applicable scope based on current controlled data.
WHSG48002PG Why is the open circuit inductor marked 15 mA DC bias?
Because the open-circuit inductance is measured with a DC bias, the bias current must be selected close to the actual power supply operating point, so that the inductance value has reference significance. WHSG48002PG Giving 350 µH Min at 15 mA bias, the non-PoE versions of this product line typically give the same value at 8 mA. When comparing PoE models, you should also look at the bias conditions: just comparing the inductance value without looking at the bias is equivalent to comparing the numbers of two different working conditions. This product line currently has four bias conditions of 8, 14, 15, and 21 mA.
WHSG48002PG What impact does storage temperature up to +125 °C have on material preparation?
The storage temperature is the allowable range for unpowered storage and transportation. WHSG48002PG is -40 °C to +125 °C, which is 40 °C wider than the common -40 °C to +85 °C in this product line. Power-on operation depends on the operating temperature, which is -40 °C to +85 °C for this model. Do not use the upper storage limit for thermal design. The actual significance of this margin is in the warehousing and transportation links: in summer, shipping containers and the top shelves of non-air-conditioned warehouses may exceed +85 °C for a long time. Models with high storage limits are more comfortable under such conditions.
