Which PoE class does the 900 mA on the WHSG48002PG correspond to?

The datasheet states IEEE 802.3at compliant performance with 900 mA current capability.

802.3at is PoE+, where the PSE port tops out at 30 W. Worth noting: most 802.3at parts in this product line state 720 mA, and the WHSG48002PG at 900 mA carries the highest current rating in that class. When budgeting port power, tell us the per-port current you are targeting and VOOHU will confirm the applicable scope against the current controlled document. Other classes sit in the 100/1000 BASE-T range.

Why is the open-circuit inductance of the WHSG48002PG specified at 15 mA DC bias?

Because open-circuit inductance is measured under a DC bias, and the bias has to sit near the real supply operating point for the figure to mean anything.

The WHSG48002PG states 350 µH Min at 15 mA bias, where non-PoE parts usually state the same figure at 8 mA. When comparing PoE parts, read the bias condition alongside the inductance — comparing the numbers alone compares two different operating conditions. Four bias conditions appear across the 100/1000 BASE-T range.

The WHSG48002PG stores to +125 °C — what does that mean for stocking?

Storage temperature covers unpowered storage and transport; the WHSG48002PG is rated -40 °C to +125 °C, 40 °C wider at the top than the -40 °C to +85 °C common in this product line.

Powered operation is governed by the operating range, -40 °C to +85 °C here, so the storage limit must not be used for thermal design. The extra headroom matters in warehousing and shipping: a sea container in summer or the top shelf of an unconditioned warehouse can sit above +85 °C for long periods. Storage grades vary across the 100/1000 BASE-T range.
