WHSG48001ATG Gigabit LAN Transformer

Same pin ranges, different naming: on the WHSG48001ATG pins 1–24 are TCT/TD and pins 25–48 are MCT/MX, while the other 48-pin parts on the same land pattern name pins 25–48 CMT/TX.

These are the same pins under a different prefix. When entering a BOM, netlist or footprint library, take the names from the WHSG48001ATG drawing rather than another part's — centre-tap prefixes follow several different conventions across the 100/1000 BASE-T range.

Both are rated -40 °C to +85 °C operating; storage differs — the WHSG48001ATG stores at -40 °C to +85 °C against -40 °C to +125 °C for the WHSG48001TG.

The two share one 48-pin surface-mount land pattern, with a 27.80 × 12.20 mm body 7.50 mm Max high. The cable-side net names also differ (MCT/MX here, CMT/TX there), referring to the same pins.

The land pattern carries over, but this is a move across capability grades rather than a simple substitution.

The WHSG48001ATG datasheet has no PoE current item; the 4PPoE parts on the same footprint add a current rating and also change the DC bias condition for open-circuit inductance, the form in which insertion and return loss are stated, and the storage grade. Moving across shifts the whole operating point, so the termination network and supply path have to follow the new part's datasheet.
