No. The WHSG48002G datasheet carries no PoE current item, and its centre taps carry no DC supply current.

Both ports are powered locally. A design that has to deliver power over the cable should move to a part whose datasheet states an IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at current capability — a decision that belongs at selection time, because no amount of circuit rework adds the capability afterwards. PoE-rated parts are grouped in the 100/1000 BASE-T range.

Surface-mount. The body is 27.80 × 12.20 mm, 15.20 mm across the leads, and 7.50 mm Max high.

Coplanarity across the 48 terminations of the WHSG48002G is held to 0.10 mm, with a 0.90 mm foot and a 0° to 8° lead angle; it is reflow-assembled and supplied on tape. Through-hole options are listed separately in the 100/1000 BASE-T range.

The two match on electrical ratings and land pattern, so choose purely by which side the common-mode choke should land on: the WHSG48002G puts it on the chip side at pins 1–24, the WHSG48001G on the cable side at pins 25–48.

The deciding factor is the element order in the PHY reference design and the EMC result on the finished unit, not performance — insertion loss, return loss, cross talk, common-mode rejection and isolation match item for item. Swapping later costs no footprint work but does need EMC re-measured.
