Why is the -40 to +85 °C storage range not sufficient when WHD20601G may need to start below 0 °C?

WHD20601G is rated for operation from 0 to +70 °C; -40 to +85 °C is only its storage boundary and does not replace the energized operating range. If the equipment must power up or communicate below 0 °C, select a model explicitly rated for low-temperature operation and repeat the schematic, PCB, and link validation.

How should the signal quality of both ports in WHD20601G be accepted at port level?

For each port, verify the 1CT:1CT ±5% turns ratio, minimum 350 μH open-circuit inductance at 100 kHz, 0.1 V, and 8 mA bias, and maximum 1.1 dB insertion-loss magnitude from 1 to 100 MHz.
